Pidgin (the new name given to the well-known Gaim) is a multi-protocol Instant Messaging client that allows you to use all of your IM accounts at once. No matter if you use AIM, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk, Groupwise, IRC, MSN, MySpaceIM, QQ, SILC, SIMPLE, Sametime, XMPP, Yahoo! or Zephyr. Thanks to Pidgin (aka Gaim) you won’t need to have all your instant messenger programs running, because you will have all your contacts (no matter the IM network they use) in just one program.
It also includes all the main features of each IM program and adds some more ones, such as a spellchecker for several languages. If you like instant messaging, and you have contacts in every instant messenger net that exits, you will find Pidgin really useful and comfortable.

Excellent great msn alternative program !! provided by GNU !! 100% recommendable even though it still needs to follow its evolution !!
I like the official messenger more, this is not bad at all but already with the habit I prefer the messenger of a lifetime.
